Do my technicians need to download an app?

No download required. JobPanel runs in any web browser on any phone, tablet, or computer. Techs can add it to their phone's home screen for a native app-like experience. When you assign them a job, they get a notification instantly — no app store needed.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, absolutely. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. Cancel anytime from your Settings page. Your data stays accessible through the end of your current billing period, and we'll never charge you again after that.

What happens when my free trial ends?

Accepted Answer

When your 15-day trial ends, you'll be prompted to pick a plan to continue. If you don't upgrade, your account is paused — your data is saved and you can come back anytime. Nothing gets deleted. You can also contact us if you need a few extra days.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes. You can change your plan at any time from Settings → Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

What happens if I go over my user limit?

If you're on Starter (3 users) or Growth (5 users) and try to add more team members than your plan allows, you'll see a prompt to upgrade your plan first. You can upgrade in seconds from the Team page. On Pro, there's no user limit.

How does scheduling work?

Open the Schedule page to see your full calendar. Click any time slot to create a job — pick the customer, job type, address, technician, and time. The tech gets an instant notification on their phone. You can also drag jobs around the calendar to reschedule them.

Can I assign jobs to specific technicians?

Yes. When creating or editing any job, you choose which technician is assigned to it. That tech sees the job in their personal queue with all the details — customer name, address, job notes, and any photos you've attached.

Yes. Every JobPanel account includes an online booking form you can share with customers or embed on your website. Customers fill out their info and service type, and the request lands directly in your dashboard for you to confirm and schedule. Works 24/7 even when you're not available.

When a tech updates a job status — from Scheduled to En Route to In Progress to Completed — the customer automatically receives an email notification. No manual texting or calling required. You and your team see the real-time updates in the dashboard.

Yes. For customers on maintenance agreements or recurring service, you can create jobs that automatically repeat on a schedule you set — weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually. The jobs appear in your calendar automatically.

How do I send an invoice?

When you mark a job complete, you can create and send an invoice in seconds. Add your line items (or select from your Price List), review the total, and hit send. The customer gets an email with a Pay Now button. You can also send invoices manually from the Invoices page.

How does online payment work?

JobPanel uses Stripe to process payments. When a customer clicks Pay Now on their invoice, they enter their card details and pay securely. The money is deposited directly into your bank account — typically within 2 business days. There are standard Stripe processing fees (around 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction).

Can techs collect payment on-site?

Yes. Techs can pull up any invoice on their phone and the customer can pay by card right there. If you have a card reader connected to Stripe, you can also take in-person card payments on the spot.

Yes. The Schedule page has a full monthly calendar showing all your jobs. Click any day to see a detailed view of what's scheduled. You can add new jobs directly from the calendar by clicking a time slot.

Yes. Any user can enable 2FA from Settings using any authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.). We strongly recommend enabling 2FA on all owner and admin accounts.

Yes. Role-based access controls ensure techs only see their own assigned jobs. Dispatchers manage scheduling. Managers see everything operational. Only Owners and Admins access billing and sensitive account settings.

Never. Your customer data belongs to you. We do not sell, share, or use your customer information for any purpose other than providing the JobPanel service. You can export or delete your data at any time.
